The inspiration: Before I started painting, I had a full career as a floral designer. It was an industry I loved dearly since I was a teenager. It was my first job, it facilitated several moves including coming to Indianapolis, and allowed me to meet amazingly creative people and make lifelong friends. After I transitioned from floral designer to mental health therapist & artist, I felt the absence of this unique creative outlet that had been a part of my life for over 12 years.

Using pressed, dried florals and preserving them in resin has allowed flowers to once again be a part of my life, creative process, and combining two things I have loved: floral design and reading books!
