The Inspiration: Much of my work plays on the elements of texture and movement, pieces like "Foggy Pines” specifically emphasize the textural elements that naturally come along with oil paintings. As a part of my “Transcending Time” Collection, this landscape abstraction is meant to remind the viewer of a special place in their memory. Using a flat-edge palette knife, each knife stroke retains its shape and texture; the repetitive motion is always a very relaxing process for me.
